New Street Agenda
2005-2014
New Street Agenda was the third project in a series of investigations designed to test one’s understanding of street-level communication and how a simple gesture can sometimes functions in today's rapidly changing world. A series of 7 artworks were produced and placed in the public domain (e.g., city parks and communal areas) for the casual passerby to find, keep and respond to. These artworks were accompanied with a letter and information on the project written in English and the predominant local language of the city visited. Each city received 7 different artworks from New Street Agenda editions.

The Art Drop series was intended to function as an aesthetic social experiment rooted in the spirit of the Midwestern American legend Johnny Appleseed (aka John Chapman, 1774-1845). In addition to depositing the artworks, these efforts were documented during travel via drawings, journaling, photography, video, writings, and translation of the finder’s responses. A listing of included cities can be found after the presented images below.

The following is a list of cities visited for New Street Agenda: Rome, Italy; Vatican City, Italy; Assisi, Italy; Florence, Italy; Pisa, Italy; Venice, Italy; Innsbruck, Austria; Munich, Germany; Salzburg, Austria; London, England; Indianapolis, Indiana; Liverpool, England; Manchester, England; New York, New York; Paris, France; Versailles, France; Gary, Indiana; Cogollo del Cengio, Italy; Sermione, Lago di Garda, Italy; Vicenza, Italy; Milan, Italy; Washington, D.C.; Lafayette, Indiana; Paris, France; Caen, France; Mount St. Michel, France; Rouen, France; Reims, France; Linz, Austria; Gary, Indiana; Plainfield, Indiana; Evanston, Illinois; and Chicago, Illinois.
