Escaping to another universe appears to be remarkably popular these days. This is evident when considering the rise of fringe to popular culture rituals and tribes. We are sometimes more comfortable dressing up as our favorite personality as we are in our own skin. We like to pretend. A common response to danger, tragedy, or uncertainty is to immerse ourselves into fantasy worlds. In these “safe” places we can be anything, do anything, and overcome anything.
